I had the pleasure of attending Canada's Wonderland Halloween Haunt Media Event on October 05, 2007.

Since Cedar Fair, owners of Knotts Berry farm, has taken over from Paramont and is known for Knotts Scary Farm Haunted Attraction down in the USA, I had great expectations for this years Haunted Attraction, and they have delivered with the addition of 4 more attractions.

At the enterance you are met with a sea of staff and security.
No grand decorated enterance, not a scareactor working the line, not a cobweb in site. But just off to the corner lies an electric chair with it's latest victim and the enterence to the Asylum.

cedar Fair hasput more money in to facades, a bit plain but none the less a marked imporvement over the tents of previous years.

Unfortunately "Scareyman" the fabulous Vampire they had in years past, was no where to be found.  Definately one of the best scare actors and true vampires I had ever met.

Gone were the Renegade Zombie's on roller blades, instead a few actors  mulled around the enterance.

The Graveyard was a slight improvement with larger tombstones. And they finally moved the large fog machine and chiller out to the graveyard and pumped it full of low lying fog that spilled out on to the causeway breathing new life in to this cryptic graveyard and setting the tone to this haunted event.

Be sure to pay homage to the graveyard shack where Paul from Bone Yard Bargain's gargoyle is promently displayed.

There was NO fire breathing devil  this time.  Last year he stood in front of the red lit lake in front of a misty red mountain giving that dark carnival feel.

Overall I got the feeling Cedar Fair  did invest more money with the addition of 4 haunted attractions, facades, static props, masks  and a few pneumatic props. (Finally!)

The Asylum is one of the four haunted attractions added to the Haunted Attraction. Located just to the right of the main enterance, a new scaffold building was erected to house this attraction.  It looks rather plain from the outside, but better than the typical tent style that Paramont erected in the past.

The background story to this attraction is "In 1923, Miles Gravestone was admitted to the asylum after surviving the curse of Slaughter Mill.  Driven mad by the carnage he had seen and angered that everyone condemned his story, Miles led a revolt, and the inmates of the insane asylum have taken over, leaving the doctors and nurses dreanged as their former patients."

You walk through a maze of insane actors, 80 percent hiding around a corner shouting "AHHHHHH".  Gets a bit mundane until you come across one actor that's actually put some effort in to his dialog.  A plexiglass cell was the highlight of this attraction.  A majority of the actors are wearing masks, but a little grease paint around the eyes and tucking the mask into their shirts and perhaps some latex or spirt gum to adhear the mask a little better around the eyes would make all the difference in the world.

Clowns at Midnight - A MUST SEE!!

Out of all the attractions this is a must see.  This attraction shows a lot of thought and planning went in to this attraction.  From beginning to end it was a great attraction.

Loved the Cotton Candy Room, the back end of the elephant with it's tail wagging and a bucket catching it's droppings.  Now if they only used some of Sinister scents it would give it that final touch. The use of some of Bump In the Night Productions Clown Masks was a really nice touch.  Great masks!

Definately out of all the attractions this one takes the cake.
